Robert (Bob) Gordon, President and Director
BSc, MIFA, MAICD, FAMI
Mr Gordon joined the board in April 2017 and was elected President in February 2018. He is a highly experienced Chief Executive and Non-Executive Board member. He has spent 40 years in the Forestry and natural resources sector, since 1991 as a senior executive or Chief Executive Officer.
After a series of senior management roles in Forestry Bob was appointed a Forestry Commissioner in 1991 and then Managing Director and CEO of Forestry Tasmania in 2006, a position he held until 2013 when he retired.
Bob is the immediate past President of the Institute of Foresters of Australia (IFA) and a Non-Executive Director of ASX listed Financial Group, MyState Limited including subsidiaries MyState Bank and Tasmanian Perpetual Trustees and Chair of Supported Affordable accommodation trust that provides supported accommodation. Bob was appointed as Chair of the Football Australia Member Federations group in 2023.
Chris Brookwell, Director
BSc GAICD CA AGIA ACQ CGP DipFinPlan
Mr Brookwell joined the board in March 2023. Chris has experience as an executive within Tasmanian Government Business Enterprises. Chris currently works as the General Manager Corporate Services at Sustainable Timber Tasmania. Before this, Chris worked in sports administration with Tasracing Pty Limited as the Chief Financial Officer. Chris spent the first 16 years of his career working for EY.
Chris is a Chartered Accountant (originally in England) and has qualified as a company secretary through the Governance Institute of Australia’s Applied Corporate Governance diploma. Chris is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Chris is a self-confessed life-long learner with recent courses covering cyber and the executive strategy and leadership programmes at the University of Oxford. Chris is also a non-executive director of Blueline Laundry and Volunteering Tasmania.
Chris is a qualified football coach and volunteers his time at Kingborough Lions Football Club.
Taylor Rand, Director
Mrs Rand joined the board in February 2023. Originally from Vermont in the United States, she moved to Tasmania in 2018. She has over 10 years’ experience in the energy industry, in both the private and public sectors. She specialises in strategic planning, program management and governance.
Her most recent role at TasNetworks includes overseeing several projects dedicated to corporate improvements.
She is currently completing her Master’s Degree in Social Work. Mrs Rand has a long background as a football player both in the United States and Australia and most recently played for the Clarence Zebras in 2022 and coached the 2023 WSL team.
Archana Brammall, Director
Archana Brammall was appointed to the Board in late March 2024.
Archana is a prominent entrepreneur and community advocate. As the owner and managing director of The Buna Collective, she oversees a growing consortium of hospitality venues in the State.
A recognised member of the Tasmanian business community, Archana grew up in both Ethiopia and India before settling in Tasmania. In addition to her leadership skills and dedication to sustainable business growth, Archana advocates for strong governance and the promotion of diversity and equal opportunities in the workplace.
A passionate supporter of Tasmanian football, Archana brings to the Board over 20 years of business management experience. She is a former member of both the Riverside Olympic Football Club Board and Launceston United Soccer Club Committee of Management, is a present Director on the Multicultural Council of Tasmania board and has held several additional board positions, including Vice Chair of the Launceston Chamber of Commerce, Care for Africa, and The Migrant Resource Centre (North).
Archana is fluent in three languages and holds degrees in Economics and English Literature, along with diplomas in Project Management and Tourism Operations. Archana is a graduate of the Tasmanian Leaders Program.
Muhammed Khan, Director
Muhammed joined the Board in November 2024. Muhammed is a civil engineer who has worked across many construction projects around Australia and locally. Since moving to Tasmania in 2010 he has been involved in many State-significant construction projects and is also a Board member of the Civil contractors Federation. Muhammed is a current social men's player, with four children who have all been involved in playing football.
Sara Sharif, Director
Sara joins the Board from 1 January 2025. Sara is a highly skilled sales and marketing professional with extensive experience across multiple industries, both in Australia and internationally. With a proven track record in strategic business development, marketing, and communications, Sara brings valuable expertise to the Football Tasmania Board.
Currently serving as Business Development Director, Sara has demonstrated strong leadership in driving business growth, managing key client relationships, and optimising internal processes. Her background also includes investment banking and senior roles in marketing, project management, and fundraising, notably at the University of Tasmania and Aon Insurance. A passionate advocate for football, Sara is deeply involved in the sport through her children, both of whom play. Growing up in the UK, Sara has a lifelong connection to the game, and she is dedicated to supporting the growth of the game in Tasmania. Her professional skills in stakeholder engagement, strategic planning, and team management will contribute to the continued development of football at all levels in the State.
Michael Kerschbaum B.Ec, Director
Michael joined the Board in November 2024. Michael has a long history with the Glenorchy Knights Football Club, mainly as a social player. Michael has worked in a variety of roles, including Executive Director of Master Builders Tasmania, Senior Adviser within Government and most recently as a consultant and CEO of a start-up AI company.
Michael is a passionate advocate for football and a proud Tasmanian. Michael’s aim is to lift the profile of Football in Tasmania and to give back to the sport that has provided him with much joy over the years.
Ebony Altimira GAICD, Director
Ebony joined the Board in November 2024. Miss Altimira is a passionate born and bred Tasmanian originating from North-West Tasmania. Ebony brings an extensive background in business, with a banking and finance career spanning more than 20 years, focusing on Workforce Leadership and Management, Change Management, Project Management & Operational implementation with strong stakeholder engagement skills, bringing skills and experience in driving change and providing solutions to complex problems.
Ebony was previously president of Tasmanian Rugby Union, the first female president of a rugby member union in Australia. Her contribution to the sport and promotion of women's and girls' participation was recognised nationally with the Nick-Farr Jones award. The honour recognises a volunteer who has made a significant contribution to the development, promotion or advancement of rugby in Australia.
She is passionate about equality and creating opportunities for all; a mother of four young energetic boys; and a lover of sports. She looks forward to working with the Tasmanian Football community and the sport's continued development.
