Ulverstone Soccer Club has completed a major year of investment in facilities, equipment and its people, and is Football Tasmania’s Club Changer Club of the Month for July for its focus on infrastructure, investment and strategic partnerships.
Club president Elise Mee said the club’s new changeroom facility was its most significant achievement over the past 12 months - made possible through support from the Australian and Tasmanian governments and the Central Coast Council - and ensures the club can meet the needs of its growing football community.
The new building includes two team changerooms, two dedicated physio and medical rooms, player and official amenities, three public toilets and infrastructure designed to accommodate future growth.
Sustainability features have also been incorporated, with gas services installed and provisions in place for future energy-efficiency upgrades.
The club has also invested in new perimeter fencing, upgraded sponsorship signage, player dugouts, additional storage facilities, refreshed clubrooms and new portable goals servicing the main pitch and eight training fields.
Mrs Mee said the improvements would benefit players from junior levels right through to the National Premier Leagues (NPL) Tasmania.
"These upgrades support football from Under 9s through to NPL level, while also catering for the continued growth of school football and our participation programs," she said.
The club has also focused on developing its people, with coaches across its 19 teams continuing to complete accreditation courses and further education planned for 2027 and 2028.
Mrs Mee acknowledged the contribution of sponsors and government partners in helping the club achieve its goals.
"We are incredibly fortunate to have the ongoing support of our sponsors and all levels of government, whose partnership has enabled us to invest confidently in facilities, equipment and player development," she said.
Looking ahead, Ulverstone is planning the next stage of its facility development, including upgrades to the existing clubhouse and the construction of a new undercover grandstand.
"These projects will enhance the match-day experience, improve accessibility and provide quality facilities for players, volunteers, officials and spectators for many years to come," Mrs Mee said.
