Home of Football One Step Closer! 
We’re thrilled by the Liberal and Labor Government’s $350,000 commitment toward the development of a dedicated ‘Home of Football’ in Tasmania.
The funding will support a feasibility study and early design work for a state-of-the-art facility at Wentworth Park on Hobart’s eastern shore — including six full-size pitches, five-a-side courts, and elite-level change rooms and training spaces.
Football is Tasmania’s most-played team sport, with over 31,000 participants, and this investment will help ensure the sport can meet growing demand for generations to come.“This is an exciting milestone for Tasmanian football,” said Tony Pignata, CEO of Football Tasmania.
