Introducing new Technical Director Alan Eadie

We are thrilled to announce that Alan Eadie has been appointed as our new Technical Director.

Eadie has worked for Football Tasmania in coach and player development for two and a half years, and steps into this new role following the resignation of Football Development Manager David Smith.

Football Tasmania Chief Executive Officer Tony Pignata said: “Alan is superbly placed to take on this new role – he has worked tirelessly in the Talent Support Program (TSP) space for a number of years, and is committed to building on this work as technical director, to ensure our strategic aim of developing player pathways.

“We farewell David from his most recent stint with us for the past three years, although of course he has had many more years with Football Tasmania – including as CEO – and we thank him for his dedication to developing Tasmania’s coaches and players.

“David will continue to work with us as an external contractor in the Coach Education space, so he will certainly still be involved in our game.”

Eadie said he was looking forward to the challenge of his new role.

“I’m excited about ensuring pathways for our players all the way from juniors to elite, and ensuring Tasmania is well represented on the national stage,” he said.
