Riverisde Breakthrough For First Ever Win
Riverside Olympic claimed their first-ever Women's Super League victory, downing Glenorchy Knights 2-0 at Windsor Park. The Roos proved the old adage that a week is a long time in football as they put last week behind them and produced a fighting bounce-back display at home. Goals on either side of half-time from Sophie Brewster and Meg Connolly handed the Roos at 2-0 lead. Having come close on multiple occasions this season only to be denied late, it was a lead the Roos were determined to hold on to this time around. They duly did, shutting out the Knights to claim their historic win and moving from the foot of the table in the process.
Final Score
Riverside Olympic 2 (S.Brewster 34’, M.Connolly 56’)
Glenorchy Knights 0

Davis and Walsh Sink Pirates
The Kingborough Lions continued their strong run of goal-scoring form, as star duo Laura Davis and Hannah Walsh both hit hat-tricks in a comfortable 7-0 win over Taroona at Lightwood Park. Davis scored the opening three goals of the game to set up the win, before Walsh took over, not only the game but also the lead in the WSL Golden Boot race, by adding the next three. Walsh's 10 goals in 2 games has seen her come from the clouds to now lead the race, having been 6 goals behind a fortnight ago. Davis then bagged a fourth to put the cherry on top of the cake and round out the scoring in what was an extremely comfortable win for the Lions.
Final Score
Kingborough Lions 7 (L.Davis 35' 44' 47' 84', H.Walsh 52' 60' 64')
