Davis Hat-trick Sinks Roos Debut
Laura Davis continued her blistering run of form, scoring a hat-trick in Kingborough's big 6-0 win over Riverside Olympic. The competition newcomers had some chances early on but they couldn't find a way past Josie Rose in the Lions net. As the game wore on, the home side took complete control of the contest and had the game wrapped up by the hour mark in a dominant performance that showcased the array of attacking talent at Cameron Heazlewood's disposal.

Knight in Strikers Armour
The Devonport Strikers snared a 2-1 win over Launceston United at Birch Avenue, with new signing Whitney Knight scoring both goals. Knight was previously the youngest player in Melbourne Victory's W-League history back in 2015 and this weekend she showed why the Strikers were so delighted to have her recently turn up to their training session looking for a game. She made an instant impact by scoring either side of a fine strike from Izzy Declerk. It secured an important victory on the road for the Strikers, and leaves them sitting on top of the table after two games.

Full Marks For South Hobart
South Hobart claimed their first victory of the season with a comprehensive victory over Taroona at Darcy Street. Having struggled to click in attack in week 1, with just an own goal to show for their efforts, South seemingly took their frustrations out on the Pirates and hammered 10 goals past them, with 7 different players hitting the scoreboard. Taroona were pinned back deep in defence for most of the match and simply had no answers for the dominant defending champions.
