Lisa's love of football started from a very young age, thanks to her father, footballing great Josef Rader, who was a founding member of Rapid Football Club from 1958.
Lisa began playing as a teenager, and went straight into playing first team football. She helped Rapid win the Southern Title in 1984.
In 1985, Rapid again won the title, with Lisa pivotal to the success of the women’s team, known fondly as the "Rapidettes". Lisa was also a major player in the club's 1987, 1988 and 1989 title wins.
Her obvious talent and hard work was recognised with State selection in every year throughout the eighties. While playing for Tasmania at the 1985 National Soccer Carnival in Victoria, Lisa was spotted and selected to play for the Australian national team.
Lisa became Tasmania's first Matilda when she was selected to play for Australia against Chinese Taipei on March 31,1986 at Queen Elizabeth II Park in Christchurch, New Zealand, as part of the Oceania Cup tournament.
Lisa is the proud owner of Matildas' Cap No. 43, and represented Australia twice, both in 1986.
Lisa continued to play in the State until her retirement from the game in 1998.
