Harry Anderson hit a hat-trick and the Glenorchy Knights defeated Olympia 3-0 at Warrior Park.
On the day the title officially slipped away from them, the Knights nevertheless turned in a good showing away from home with Anderson scoring all three of the sides goals in their second win in a row over the Warriors after snapping a lengthy hoodoo in their previous 2020 league clash.
The first goal came on 13 minutes when Oscar Thomas floated in a ball in that Anderson attacked with verve, getting up to it and producing a wonderful header that lobbed over a stranded Randall and into the back of the net to open the scoring.
That would be the only goal of a fairly dull first 45 minutes, with the lack of stakes perhaps contributing to what proved a rather stodgy affair.
With the game meandering towards its conclusion, Knights put their foot down and secured the victory with a quick double strike in the space of five minutes.
Anderson was sprung into a mile of space on the right by Alex Walter who split the defence open allowing Anderson to carry the ball into the area and drill a finish between the legs of Randall.
Four minutes later it was Anderon completing his treble, heading home from close range after Nkoso's corner was twice headed back across the box, first by Naden then Oscar Thomas to give Anderson a simple nod home for his third.
That was how it ended, the Knights comfortable winners and completing the NPL double over a side they could yet come up against in the Lakoseljac Cup Final in 3 weeks time.
