University have advanced to the final 8 of the Women's Statewide Cup, as they won a goal fest over Somerset 8-3 at Cardigan Street.
In an action packed game, the Sharks gave the Bees a scare when they closed the score to 4-3 heading into the final 20 minutes of the game, but the visitor snapped into gear and made sure of the result, scoring four more times to ensure their progression.
University Coach Patrick Watts said he enjoyed the trip to Cardigan Street and lauded the young players in his squad.
"Somerset are a good team, we were impressed with their style of play and hospitality. The scoreline doesn't reflect how well they played, in particular their keeper who had a great game.
