The Clarence Zebras have punched their ticket through to the final four of the Women's Statewide Cup as the comfortably accounted for Northern Rangers in their quarter final match up. The Zebras claimed a 5-1 victory to cap off a big week for the club following their ascension to summit of the Women's Super League table on Wednesday night with their win over Olympia.
The WSL powerhouse had them game well under control early on as Rachel Gill opened the scoring on 10 minutes before Bronte Gadon doubled that 10 minutes later.
The Northern Championship side did themselves no shame though as they battled hard against the top dogs in the State and they managed to reach half time without conceding again.
Izzy Ferrier made her mark on the game just a minute into the second half as the Zebras came out of the sheds with an extra spring in their step before reigning WSL Media MVP Allie Berry got in on the act.
Rangers continued to fight valiantly and Moana Chamberlain bagged them a deserved goal 15 minutes from the end to give the visitors something to celebrate.
Ferrier then iced the game with her second to wrap up a 5-1 victory and ensure the Zebras quest for a potential treble remains alive.
