Coach Development Manager

Football is the most played team sport in Tasmania, with more than 40,000 people involved including players, coaches, volunteers and referees. Federation Tasmania (FT) has an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to the continued growth and development of the world game in this state. FT is seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals for the newly-created role of Coach Development Manager. Reporting to the CEO, this role will manage and deliver community and advanced coach education programs and services throughout the state. The role will have a particular focus on:
  • Opportunities for community and advanced coaches to engage in ongoing formal and informal professional development;
  • Improving access to formal accredited license courses;
  • Leverage external expertise to deliver professional development sessions for coaches and technical directors;
  • Improving opportunities for females to engage in Coach Education; and
  • Providing opportunities for club TD’s to engage in specific professional development.
  Applicants should have a background and passion for football, minimum FFA A license accreditation, previous experience in coaching, coach education or coach coordination, together with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
