Football Tasmania is inviting girls aged 4–11 to get involved in the MiniTillies Program, a fun and welcoming introduction to football designed to help young girls develop new skills, build confidence and make lasting friendships through the game.
Part of Football Australia's national MiniRoos Kick-Off initiative, MiniTillies provides a dedicated girls-only environment where participants can experience football in a fun, social and inclusive setting. Whether they're picking up a football for the first time or looking to develop their existing skills, the program offers an opportunity for girls of all experience levels to get involved without the pressure of competition.
Across five weeks, participants will take part in engaging, game-based activities that introduce the fundamentals of football while encouraging movement, coordination, teamwork and creativity. The sessions are designed to prioritise enjoyment and participation, helping girls grow their confidence, develop social skills and build positive connections with other young players.
Beyond learning the basics of football, programs like MiniTillies provide an important opportunity for girls to feel comfortable, supported and encouraged to participate in sport. By creating a space where they can learn alongside other girls, the program aims to foster a sense of belonging and help build a positive foundation for future involvement in football.
The five-week program will commence on Sunday 15 November at KGV Park, Glenorchy, with weekly sessions running from 2:30pm to 3:30pm.
Registration is $70 and includes a MiniRoos participant pack featuring a t-shirt, football and certificate, delivered directly to participants.
