Colony 47 and Football Tasmania team up for Christmas

Colony 47 and Football Tasmania is teaming up to bring joy to Tasmanian kids this Christmas.

Football Tasmania has donated 50 footballs for Colony 47 to distribute to Tasmanian families as part of their annual Christmas appeal, with help from one of its major sponsors, MyState Bank.

Colony 47 CEO Danny Sutton said Christmas donations could make a real difference for families facing financial struggles.

“Christmas can be a wonderful time of year, but it can also be particularly difficult for families who might doing it tough,” Mr Sutton said.

“While simple things such as presents for children can be taken for granted, they can make a massive difference to a family who might otherwise not be able to afford them.

“Colony 47 has a long history of working with local Tasmanian organisations to help out those who need it most at this time of year.

“We’re very grateful to Football Tasmania for the generous donation of 50 footballs, which will no doubt bring joy to the boys and girls who receive them.”

Football Tasmania CEO Matt Bulkeley welcomed the opportunity to support Colony 47’s Christmas appeal.

“Christmas is the time for giving, and it’s wonderful to be able to support Colony 47 which does great work in our community not only at this time of year, but all year-round,” he said.

“Football prides itself on a being an inclusive sport, and we hope the recipients of these balls get a real kick out of seeing them under the Christmas tree this year.

“I’d also like to thank our sponsors MyState Bank for their support in helping us be able to provide these balls.”
