It was the shot-stopper's birthday on Saturday, but ball after ball coming through the Taroona defence wasn't quite the gift she was hoping for. Her celebration, running towards team manager, Theresa Andrews on the Strikers Bench. Joined by her teammates, the celebration was a nod to the original reason for the Pink day festivities that day at Valley road. Theresa, a cancer survivor herself, inspired the fundraiser. Her hasty disposal of the ball however was accurately landed at the feet of White in the goalmouth who didn't hesitate to hit the ball over the line in the 52nd minute of the game to make it 2-2. It wasn't long before Devonport sealed the win as experienced midfielder, Danielle Mitchell, weaved around the Taroona midfield with a great through ball again to White, who secured her hat-trick of the day as she sailed past the goal, tapping in her third in the 84th minute.
