Female Football Festival/Cup Finals Day

With the Summer Cup finals falling in National Rebel Female Football Week, to celebrate there will be a Female Football Festival being held at KGV, this Saturday the 14th of March.The festival will begin at 11:00am with a Junior Youth Girls game, and a host of fun activation's to take part in, with prizes from Lorna Jane and Rebel Sport. Former Matilda Michelle Heyman will be in attendance on the day, involved in a 100 metre sprint challenge and she will also present the Summer Cup trophy later in the day. Optus will be there with their truck that will screen photos of females in football, as well as the giant Optus inflatable target for you to test your striking skills with. The World Masters Football Female Gold medal winners will be there showing that football is for all ages, whilst Matt Lancaster will be holding an ACL injury risk reduction session at 1:00pm. It will be a fun family Day out celebrating women in football and all who champion it. And of course, later in the afternoon, the big Summer Cup Finals themselves. At 2:00pm, it’s the Women’s Summer Cup Final, as Clarence Zebras look to start their new era with silverware when they take on the defending Cup Champion Olympia Warriors. Then at 4:30pm it’s one of Tasmanian Football’s fiercest modern rivalries in the Men’s Summer Cup Final, as the Olympia Warriors take on South Hobart FC. So get along to KGV on Saturday for what should be a great day of footballing fun. Admission prices are: Adults $6, Concession $3 and Children Under 12 are free.
