Football Federation Tasmania will be announcing the winners of the Female Football Week Tasmanian Female Community Awards on March 8th at the Female Football Week Breakfast.
The Award Winners will be members of the Tasmanian football community who have showed a genuine passion for the women's game and have significantly contributed to football.
The Award categories are as follows;
COACH
This female coach has been involved in the round ball game either as an employed or volunteer coach for a number of years. This coach has a genuine passion for the game, for ensuring all players have a safe and enjoyable experience and for developing players to reach their potential.
PLAYER
This female player demonstrates inspiring sportswoman-ship both during and outside of matches and always gives her all. She is a highly valued member of her team and positively promotes the women's game. Her commitment and enthusiasm at all trainings and matches is evident and she is always eager to learn and develop as a player.
REFEREE
This female referee has demonstrated excellence in football officiating and has contributed significantly to increased professionalism of the game. This referee always officiates in a positive manner and effectively provides leadership and guidance to participants. She possesses the important qualitities of integrity, honesty and respect.
ADMINISTRATOR
This woman may be a volunteer or an employed administrator who demonstrates a high level of passion and significantly contributes to football. She always goes above and beyond requirements of her role to ensure the continued development of the game.
MALE CHAMPION
This man actively supports, and has been a champion for the women's game over a number of years. Whether involved as a coach, administrator, volunteer, referee or in another capacity, this man demonstrates a great commitment to the women's game and devotes much of his time to seeing women's football, and/or the participants involved, develop.
