Football Tasmania understands that many in the Footballing community are anxious to know whether football matches and other activities will be proceeding as planned this weekend following the FFA press conference this morning and the media release that was distributed.
Football Tasmania is meeting with the Premier this evening and will seek the specific advice of the State Government. We are also discussing this with our Member Federation colleagues. It is likely that the FT Board will meet via teleconference within the next 24 hours or so to determine the most appropriate way to move forward with football.
In the meantime clubs and participants are asked to refer to the following guidelines referenced by the FFA this morning which can be viewed here.
Football Tasmania will keep its members appraised of any decisions that are made. In the meantime, we strongly encourage all members to follow the below recommendations from the Department of Health.
