Football Tasmania’s Talent Support Program (TSP) conducted four days of camps in Hobart last week.
The camps saw 114 players across Tasmania invited to attend in the Boys Under 13-14 and 15 age groups, and the girls Under 13 and 14 age groups, with each age group having a set day with TSP coaching staff.
During the camps, training sessions were combined with games which were beneficial for TSP Coaches to further identify areas that they had worked on, and need to work on with each age group moving forward.
In addition to this, a Zoom workshop was conducted with TSP Coaches State-wide to review the Term 1 program. Areas looked at included the players understanding, improvement, struggles across the State, the session plans prepared and areas where the TSP coaches need to further develop the session plans. Session templates and themes for the term two program were also worked through.
"We would like to thank Clarence Zebras and Glenorchy Knights for providing teams for the games", said Football Tasmania's Football Development Manager, David Smith.
"We will look to get squads together again in Launceston in May and in the July school holidays.
"Thanks To Kappa for their ongoing support of both the boys and girl's programs and to the parents who transported the TSP players to the Camps."
