Football Tasmania is proud to announce Macron as its new and exclusive referee apparel partner for season 2024 and beyond

Macron is the exclusive kit supplier for UEFA, the Spanish and Brazilian football federations, and many other federations worldwide.

Macron products are conceived, designed, and engineered at their headquarters in Italy, with a new Sports Hub next week in Hobart.

“Referees are a strong foundation for Macron, so obviously partnering with Football Tasmania is very important for us and referees,” said Joseph Gerace, Macron Sports Hub Tasmania Director.

“For us, we have a heavy focus now in Tasmania with the launch of our new Sports Hub in Hobart.

“We really want to give grassroots clubs and communities access to the Italian designed cutting-edge sportswear that we offer without having to go outside of the State.”

Tasmanian referees will now have the choice of wearing three distinct shirts - black, neon yellow and neon blue, along with black shorts and socks. Referees will also have the option to purchase warm- up jackets, pants, compression tops and shorts, accessories and more.

For the first time, referees in the State will have the option of selecting specifically designed ‘female cut’ kits. This is a big step forward for the referee community both practically and symbolically.

Football Tasmania CEO Tony Pignata said he was thrilled to announce the partnership.

“Referees are a vital part of the football community and we’re committed to them on and off the pitch,” he said.

“We’re thrilled to partner with an international brand which has such a strong footprint on football from the community to the professional level.

“It’s also important to us that our female and gender diverse referees now have the option of wearing uniforms that are designed specifically for them.”

All orders will be processed through an online order platform directly with Macron which will be shared with Referees in the coming weeks.

Football Tasmania Referees will be contacted directly regarding sizing events in their area and will begin using the Macron Uniform from the weekend of 16 March.
