The Football Tasmania Board welcomes Chris Brookwell, who joined the Board at its AGM on 14 March.
Chris currently works as the GM Corporate Services at Sustainable Timber and previously worked in sports administration with Tasracing Pty Limited as the Chief Financial Officer.
Chris is a Chartered Accountant from the UK and has qualified as a company secretary through the Governance Institute of Australia’s Applied Corporate Governance diploma. Chris is also a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Chris will fill the vacancy left by Tim Gardner, who stepped down at the AGM and will remain a member of the Board's Infrastructure Committee.
Board Chair Bob Gordon thanked Tim for the significant contribution he has made.
"Tim joined the Board in August 2021 and since that time he has made an enormous contribution. He also Chaired our Infrastructure Sub-Committee and during 2022, and led the development of a Facility Strategy for the organisation and the sport more broadly," he said.
"We’re delighted that Tim has agreed to continue as an appointed member of the Board Infrastructure Sub-Committee. This will ensure continuity and we’ll continue to benefit from his skills, knowledge and experience in this area."
