More Walsh Magic Saves Lions
Another stunning strike from Hannah Walsh helped secure the Kingborough Lions a 1-0 victory over Taroona at Lightwood Park. With the game locked at 0-0 in the final 20 minutes, Walsh produced a wickedly curling effort from 25 yards out that crashed in off the post and it would prove enough to secure the win for her side. It was the latest in a series of eye-catching goals from the brilliant Walsh, who is the form player of the competition at the moment. Taroona came within a whisker of snatching a point back, but Zoe Nickson's dipping effort agonisingly rattled the crossbar and stayed out.
Final Score
Kingborough Lions 1 (H.Walsh 70’)
Taroona FC 0
