Adam Mckeown moved atop the NPL goal scoring charts as he scored a brace and secured a late 2-1 victory for his Kingborough Lions side over Launceston City. The wily veteran struck twice in the second half, including an 86th minute winner as the Lions rallied back from a goal down, having trailed to a stunning opening goal from Samuel Ridgard which had handed City the early lead.

Influential Englishmen, Samuel Ridgard fired his side into the lead against the run of play on 27 minutes when he took one touch to control before volleying home from outside the box for a stunning goal.
He should have had a second just before the break but headed from Jarrod Linger's cross which picked him out at the back post.
With the Lions looking likely to level things up in the second half, it was Adam McKeown who finally found the breakthrough, running onto Davis Bryan's well weighted pass to level the scores.
Having passed up a glorious first half chance, Mckeown more than made amends when he proved match winner, latching onto a Chris Downes free-kick to volley home at the back post. The City marking left a lot to be desired and it ensured they would remain rooted to the foot of the table after 8 rounds.
