A pair of young Tasmanian's have been selected to recent youth national squads.
Nathaniel Atkinson has been picked in Australia's under-23 squad for a two-match friendly series against New Zealand in September.
The 20-year-old was selected in a 24-man squad which will play in Wollongong on September 6th and in Campbelltown on September 9th.
The matches come as part of Australia's preparations for January's Olympic Games qualification tournament, which will be held in Thailand and decide which Asian teams will be competing at Tokyo 2020.
Meanwhile, Noah Gardner was invited to attend an under-15 Joeys training camp that took part in Canberra over the weekend.
It was the second time in as many months the youngster, who plays for South Hobart, has trained with some of Australia’s up and coming talents, having also been picked to attend a camp in Sydney in July.
