NPL TAS Round 2 Team of the Week

GK- Mark Moncur (South Hobart) The veteran keeper showed his experience and was pivotal to his side's victory over the Zebras, making some very good saves and RB- Connor Parke (Devonport Strikers) Opened the scoring with a well taken diving header and defended his flank well throughout the contest. CB- Jayden Hey (Clarence Zebras) The Zebras skipper showed his strong leadership with an all action display at the back, bursting through midfield at times and scrambling across to make numerous key blocks and tackles. CB- Occar Thomas (Glenorchy Knights) Vital to the Knights playing out from the back with his fine range of passing on display and remains as reliable as ever when tested defensively. LB- Sam Berezansky (South Hobart) Part of a defence that kept clean sheet and he added plenty of drive with his overlapping runs down the left flank which remains a key feature of South's attacking strategy. CM- Joel Stone (Devonport Strikers) Controlled the game from midfield, tested with his set pieces and chalked up another assist. Almost a standard performance from Stone at this rate, such are the lofty heights he has set. CM- Liam Gilmore (Riverside Olympic) A young player who looks to have taken another step forward, blended silk with skill with some strong defensive play matched by his playmaking and set piece taking. AM- Samuel Ridgard (Launceston City) Looming as one of the star men of the competition, Ridgard makes plenty happen in attack for City and he almost willed his side back into the game with his a quality goal. RW- Alex Walter (Glenorchy Knights) Frequently troubled the Warriors defence, played a role in one goal and scored another. A burgeoning combination with Nkoso looks a major threat for the rest of the league. LW- Nil Sanz (Riverside Olympic) A brace for the skillful Spaniard, the first of which came from an absolutley immaculate free kick and the second a composed finish which at the time looked like being the match winner if not for... ST- Adam Mckeown (Kingborough Lions) A late equaliser was a just reward for an industrious display leading the line as he worked his socks off. 'Sunday' has always been a reliable source of goals and he conjured one right when his side needed it most.
