NPL TAS: Round 20 Team of the Week

GK- Kyle Mcdonald (Olympia) Mcdonald has been in some strong form and he was called into action to make some important saves, playing an integral part in the Warriors victory. RCB- Ryu Yonezawa (Hobart Zebras) Waved farewell to the NPL TAS with the type of performance that has typified his time down here, solid as a rock defensively and shutting down his opposing wingers. CB- Lindsay Millington (Launceston City) Millington was imperious as ever at the back for City, as he simply didn't give the Lions a sniff, helping City to a clean sheet a road victory. LCB- Bay Kurtz (Olympia) Stepped into central defence following an injury to Paul Stevens and didn't put a foot wrong, making some massive interceptions. DM- Declan Foley (South Hobart) A classic midfield destroyers performance, physically tough and imposing throughout, Foley negated the influence of the dangerous Scott. CM- Nicholas Mearns (Olympia) Really stepped it up in the second half to drive his side to victory, found space where there was none in midfield and created chances. CM- Matt Spanos (Riverside) Provided plenty of drive from midfield and helped his side control the middle of the park, winning it back and spreading the ball to his attackers nicely. AM- Joel Stone (Devonport) Was a threat throughout with his set piece delivery, with his side eventually scoring from a free kick, whilst he reached into his deep bag of tricks to produce a number of highlight reel moments. RF- Chris Wademan (Riverside) On another day he might have had more, but his brace was the difference between the two sides as he took his goals nicely and caused constant headaches with his clever runs. LF- Nicky Edwards (Hobart Zebras) The Zebras most lively outlet on the counter, most of the Zebras best moves flowed through Edwards, including a stylish back heel to setup the first goal. ST- Noah Mies (Launceston City) A pair of assists for the big front man highlighting his all around game with the first a header from a set piece, and the second a classy run and cross from the left.
