GK- Nathan Pitchford (Devonport)
Delivered one of the more clutch goalkeeping displays you'll see, and his stunning 92nd minute save at full extension was just one of a number of huge stops that secured a massive 3 points.
An honourable mention to Lachie Clark, who produced another massive performance for City that would get him in most weeks. Dead stiff 2 weeks in a row.
CB-Jake Vandermey (Olympia)
Marshalled the defensive unit well and won his defensive duels as the experienced centre half showed why he has been so highly regarded for so long.
CB- Oscar Thomas (South Hobart)
'The giraffe' excelled at winning the ball high up the pitch, allowing his side to control the second half and was dominant in the air for most of the game.
CB- Lindsay Millington (Launceston City)
Defended stoutly and was a big reason along with his goalkeeper as to why City were able to hang in an under pressure for so long against the Warriors.
RW- Nicky Edwards (Hobart Zebras)
Riverside couldn't handle his pace and trickery as he scored one, won a penalty and set up another in a lively attacking performance.
CM- Jordan Scott (Olympia)
Just seems to have so much time on the ball which is the mark of a quality player, dictated the play with his super range of passing.
CM- Samuel James (Glenorchy Knights)
James had a very efficient game in midfield, breaking up the Lions attacks consistently and scarcely misplacing a pass all game.
CM- Nick Morton (South Hobart)
Linked between the lines, drove the play, created chances and was seemingly involved in everything. The only thing missing from Morton's game was a goal, and that was because of Pitchford.
LW- Max Fitzgerald (Devonport)
A great two way performance, working hard both ways and offering tremendous defensive coverage. In attack he was lively and was fouled constantly as it was seemingly the only way to stop him.
ST- Mathew Sanders (Hobart Zebras)
Bounced back from his horror show a week earlier to show he still well and truly knows where the goals are by bagging four of them against Riverside.
ST- Matthew Nowicki (Glenorchy Knights)
This was Nowicki at his powerful best, competed supremely in the air, held the ball up well and bagged a brace to boot. Simply unplayable at times.
