A team of the fortnight probably more accurate, as this team of the week is for games played in Rounds 13/14, between June 1-8.
GK- Lachlan Clark (Launceston City)
A pair of wins for the City shot stopper and just the single goal conceded in 180 minutes. His game against Knights was particularly impressive as he kept the clean sheet.
CB- Lucas Hill (Olympia)
Important in keeping things controlled at the back and typically looked to get forward whenever possible, scoring a commanding header against Zebras and creating some chances against Clarence.
CB- Patrick Sullivan (Launceston City)
Has really bolstered the defensive stocks since coming back into the side, the towering presence of the American allows his side to dominate in the air and he also got a key goal against Riverside..
CB- Jono O'Neill (Riverside)
Imperious against City, not putting a foot wrong and keeping the lethal Mies under wraps. Despite the amount of balls into the box, Riverside have only shipped 3 goals in the last 2 weeks, thanks in no small part to O'Neill.
RW- Keenan Douce (Kingborough Lions)
His industry down the right has been immense and he has given new coach Jez Kenth two fantastic performances to start off with. He is the first name on the teamsheet down at the Den right now.
CM- Shane Cartwright (Launceston City)
Looks back to his best and is starting to really dominate games in midfield. His past fortnight has seen two authoratitive performances in the engine room, offering grunt and a good range of passing.
CM- Jordan Scott (Olympia)
A goal and an assist in the big game against Zebras that reignited the Warriors title bid before another pair of assists in a classy showing against Clarence. Olympia are looming large, and this man is a big reason why.
CM- Jono Ladic (Olympia)
His midfield partner in Jono Ladic has been in impressive touch as well, his display against the Zebras was that of a man in complete control, dictating play and shutting down the opposition.
LW-Max Fitzgerald (Devonport)
Spent more time on the other wing than his usual left but ran the Lions ragged at the back, scoring a goal and mesmerising with his fast paced dribbling as all the sides best attacks ran through him, setting up a 3-0 lead that would prove enough for the win.
CF- Callum Brown (Glenorchy Knights)
Torched Clarence for a hat-trick on his return to the starting line up and looked every bit the player that was so dominant in the Championship last season. The Knights will be a real threat when they can get both twins out there at the same time.
ST- Horacio Gutierrez Jnr (Kingborough Lions)
Scored a goal against Devonport as he fought hard in attack to help drive the sides late fightback before putting in another tremendous shift leading the line and holding it up against Riverside.
