NPL TAS: Team of the Week: Round 10.5

Team selected on games played between Monday 22 April- Sunday 28 April, Round 10 and Round 1 Catch ups. GK- Lachlan Clark (Launceston City) A stunning performance against the Kingborough Lions earned his side a point on the road in what was one of the great goalkeeping duels in recent memory. CB- Ethan Olner (Riverside) The Roos captain was a tower of strength for his side against Clarence, making a number of big challenges and he saved a certain goal with a super goal line clearance. CB- Nicholas Cuthbertson (Kingborough Lions) Two games and no goals conceded for the Lions, and their experienced centre half was a big part of that, dominating in the air and leading the defensive unit. CB- Odaine Demar (Clarence) The long awaited return of Demar has had a transformative effect for the Reds defence as they picked up a win against with a clean sheet Riverside and then put an improved effort against the Lions. CM- Nicholas Mearns (Olympia) Looks back to his best and in Jordan Scott's absence it was Mearns who led the way for the Warriors midfield brigrade, picking apart the Knights with a nice range of passes. CM- Jayden Hey (Hobart Zebras) Speaking of looking back to their best, Jayden Hey was simply red hot in a week that saw him play a starring role on ANZAC day and he was also one of his sides best in their huge win over Devonport. CM- Cameron Steele (Kingborough Lions) Steele is growing in confidence and he starting to show he has plenty of offensive capabilities to compliment the defensive side of his game. Had plenty of time on the ball against City and Clarence and showed his dribbling skills. AM- Joel Stone (Devonport Strikers) Probably his side best player in the defeat to the Zebras then thrived on the added time on the ball he had against City as he scored and created numerous chances in another classy display from one of the form players in the state. LF- Max Fitzgerald (Devonport Strikers) Continued his strong season: Fitzgerald was one his sides best in their defeat to the Zebras before stepping up and running Launceston City completely ragged on the Saturday. RF- Benjamin Hamlett (South Hobart) Have South found their solution at #9? Hamlett's recent form suggests they might have. Scored a brilliant brace against Zebras, with a stunning solo goal and then bobbed up for the match winner. ST- Mathew Sanders (Hobart Zebras) Did he what he did best and hit the net in big games. Scored two and set up another on ANZAC day and got on the scoresheet in the win over Devonport.
