NPL & WSL join NPL.tv

Top-flight Tasmanian football will soon have a new online home and a national audience, with Football Tasmania signing up to the NPL.TV streaming service powered by Cluch TV.

Under the new-agreement, matches from the MyState Bank Women’s Super League (WSL) and McDonald’s National Premier Leagues Tasmania (NPL) as well as select others, will be streamed live on the centralised platform, which also includes coverage of leagues in Victoria, South Australia, New South Wales and the ACT.

Football Tasmania CEO Matt Bulkeley said the new platform would offer increased exposure for Tasmanian football on the national stage.

“We’re delighted to team up with Cluch TV and the other member federations to join NPL.TV,” Mr Bulkeley said.

“This partnership will give our top-flight competitions more exposure on the national stage, strengthening pathways for Tasmanians to reach higher levels of the game.

“Live streamed matches have been popular features of our competitions for a number of years now and we’re looking forward to seeing engagement grow, now we are part of a more-centralised platform.”

Gus Seebeck, Managing Director of Cluch, celebrated the collaboration of Member Federations on the project.

“This is a landmark agreement for National Premier Leagues and other elite state-based football competitions across the majority of Australia.”

“From the outset, each Member Federation has embraced the potential of a truly centralised national platform.”
