Football Tasmania is seeking nominations for membership to the State Referee Standing Committee (RSC) for 2020-2021.
The call for nominations follows the completion of 2 years in office of the former Standing Committee.
Football Tasmania thanks Chair, Craig Phillips, Vice-Chair of Ivan Jozeljic, Secretary John Moody, David Green, Josh McInerney, Michael Thain and Alistair Cooke for all their hard work and time given up over the past two seasons.
Background:
The RSC consists of six to ten members elected by registered referees. Function is to advise the board of Football Tasmania on matters concerning refereeing in Tasmania for consideration including referee standards, education and ongoing development.
Appointment: Two year tenure
Commitment: Minimum of four meetings per year
Nominations:
• must be made by persons eligible to vote in the election OR
• by a “participant Member”, i.e. club or junior association affiliated with Football Tas OR
• “participant member” can only nominate ONE candidate at any one time • when a nomination is made by a “participant member”, ONE nominator is only required • nominated person must be 18 years +
• all registered referees are eligible to vote
• if a registered referee under 18 years of age wishes to vote, parent/guardian must do so on their behalf.
