Riverside Olympic and the Kingborough Lions have played out a 1-1 draw at Windsor Park in their Round 23 NPL TAS clash. The result leaves the Lions in the logjam from 4th to 7th and they will rue missed chances to have jumped up to fifth.
Keenan Douce finally found a long awaited breakthrough for the Lions with his long range stunner on 80 minutes having been kept at bay by star keeper Jarrod Hill up till that point.
But having finally broke through, the Lions failed to hold onto their lead as Ryan McCarragher teed up Chris Wademan to fire home the leveler. The Englishmen has been in red hot goalscoring form since returning to the Club and once again he made his mark.
Wademan then came within inches of sealing a late victory in stoppage time only to put his chance wide, as the Roos came close to completing the smash and grab.
