South Hobart FC are set to learn who awaits them in the FFA Cup Round of 32 when the draw is held tonight.
With some 737 clubs entering the 2019 competition the final 32 of the knockout competition is now set, with South Hobart earning their place in the draw by winning the Lakoseljac Cup, when they defeated the side that took Tasmania's place in the competition last season, Devonport. The Strikers have twice advanced to the Round of 16 of the competition in their two appearances, something South will be striving to match, as they return to the competition they last played in back in 2015. South have played in the FFA Cup twice, and suffered heartbreak on both occasions by losing in penalty shootouts to Tuggeranong and Sydney Utd. Depending on the draw it could even be an A-League giant like Sydney FC or Melbourne Victory headed down to Hobart to take on the side from Darcy Street. With no Tasmanian side having drawn an A-League opponent in the competitions 5 year history, the possibility remains a tantalising one. The draw will be held at 7:30pm and broadcast on LIVE on Fox Sports News (Channel 500) and streamed online at www.foxsports.com.au and www.theffacup.com.au . For full details of the draw see below.
