Players who are identified at the trials will be invited to attend a further trial in Hobart on Sunday, April 28th.
Players attending trials should have strong technical abilities in the four core skills, as well as a sound game understanding around the structure, positions and positional responsibilities associated with 11 vs 11 football. The capacity to participate with high levels of intensity for long periods in games is advantageous.
Players selected for the State squad will be required to train a minimum of 2 sessions per week, either with their full squad (Sundays) or regional TSP (midweek) for the eight weeks leading into the tournament in July. Details regarding the training sessions and dates will be distributed to the selected player. In general, these sessions will be as follows:
Hobart – Tuesday afternoon
Launceston – Wednesday afternoon
North West (Burnie) – Monday afternoon
Full squad sessions will be on Sundays. The venue for these sessions will vary around the State.

State U14 & U15 Girls
July 13th – 20th. Venue Coffs Harbour NSW. Cost: $2700.00 (approx.)
NTC (U16/17) Girls
July 21st – 27th. AIS Canberra. Cost: $1800 (approx.)

Unable to attend trials
Players who wish to be considered for a squad but who are unable to attend trials due to travel during the school holidays, especially those who are currently attending a regional TSP, should email technical@footballfedtas.com.au and advise of the period of their absence so that FT staff can advise of alternative options for the trial process.
