The Devonport Strikers have advanced to the final four of the 2019 Lakoseljac Cup after holding their nerve from the penalty spot in a dramatic Quarter Final. Locked at 1-1 with Hobart Zebras after 120 minutes, Nathan Pitchford was the hero as he denied Adam Mckeown and then Luke Huigsloot in the shootout to see the Strikers through to the next round.

Olympia 3-1 Riverside
A brace and assist from Jack Ryan fired the Olympia Warrriors to a 3-1 win over Riverside and saw them advance through to the Lakoseljac Cup Semi Finals. All three Warrior goals came in a 10 minute flurry leading into half time, and despite Davis’cutting the lead, the Roos never looked like hauling in the deficit.

University SC have produced a stunning performance to defeat Somerset 5-0 on the road at Cardigan Street and book their place in the Lakoseljac Cup quarter finals. They ensured they would be the last Championship side left standing, and they could be daring to dream of even more after they produced a quality display that tore the Sharks defence apart.

Taroona 0-5 South Hobart
South Hobart downed a valiant Taroona side 5-0 at Kelvedon Park on Saturday afternoon. It took until the 41st minute for the scoring to open, with Loic Feral heading in the opener. The lead would be extended in the second half via Isky Van Doorne, before Adam Gorrie made the score 3-0 in the 78th minute. Ben Hamlet and Sam Tooze then joined in on the scoring, seeing South run out 5-0 winners.

Taroona 0-2 Northern Rangers
The Northern Rangers have made it through to the Semi Finals 0f the Women’s State-wide Cup, after downing Taroona 2-0 on Saturday. The scoring opened early with a Taroona own goal in the second minute, before a 67th minute Georgina Perkins goal sealed the visiting sides win and ensured they would be the last Championship side standing.

Hobart Zebras 5-1 Ulverstone
The Hobart Zebras find themselves in the Statewide Cup Semi Final following a 5-1 win over Super League rivals Ulverstone. A Danielle Kannegeisser brace gave them the lead at half time and they carried on scoring until late in the game to book themselves a spot in the final four alongside Kingborough, Olympia and Northern Rangers.

The Olympia Warriors took care of business against Beachside to run out 9-0 victors and advance to the Statewide Cup Semi Finals. As expected the WSL powerhouse were far too strong for their Championship counterparts, as they raced to a 7-0 half time lead, before cruising home to book their Semi Final ticket.

The Kingborough Lions have advanced to the Statewide Cup Semi Finals with a 5-0 win over University at Olinda Grove. On paper it was a game that looked like it would be a real battle, but the Lions were far too strong as they stormed to victory.
