The draws for the Quarter Final Stage of the Statewide Cup competitions have today been held at KGV Football House. The games are to be played the weekend of May 10-12 with dates and kick off times TBD over the coming day.
In the Lakoseljac Cup, the tie of the round is undoubtedly the Hobart Zebras v Devonport game, with the two having played out a thrilling 2-1 game on Easter Monday in the league. With the pair to meet in Round 11 NPL TAS action, it means the sides will now play each other in consecutive weeks, playing at Valley Road a week earlier.
In other quarter finals, Olympia will host Riverside Olympic at Warrior Park whilst Somerset's reward for downing Beachside is another Southern Championship opponent in University. Fellow Championship side, Taroona will face an uphill battle against South Hobart but will at least be able to call upon the home ground advantage of Kelvedon Park.
It's a similar story in the Women's Statewide Cup for the Zebras, playing host to a coastal powerhouse in the tie of the round when they host Ulverstone.
In a Northern v Southern Championship battle, Taroona will welcome Northern Rangers to Kelvedon Park, whilst other Championship sides in University and Beachside were both given home draws against Super League opposition in Kingborough and Olympia respectively.
The Statewide Under 20's has thrown up a rematch of last seasons final, with Olympia to host South Hobart in a match that will eliminate one of the big favourites. New Town Eagles and Beachside will clash in an all Southern affair, and Devonport host Launceston City in all Northern affair. Northern Rangers, who progressed after Riverside fielded 2 ineligible players in their game on Saturday face a tough trip South to play Kingborough.
