Football Federation Tasmania has welcomed the launch of Tasmania’s first sports voucher system, Ticket to Play, as an exciting opportunity for more junior players to get involved in the World Game.
The Ticket to Play initiative will allow eligible children and young people aged 5 to 17, access to vouchers of up to $100 to go towards sporting memberships and registration fees. Children or Parents who are listed on a valid Centrelink Health Care Card, Pensioner Concession Card, or are in Out of Home Care, are eligible for the program.
Football Federation Tasmania CEO Matt Bulkeley praised the initiative and strongly encouraged all eligible parents to claim their $100 voucher ahead of registering for the 2019 season.
"We’re excited about the chance for more families to join the world game and for those already playing to access this assistance. As the most played junior sport in the state, a program like this is going to help a large number of footballing families out."
"We think this is a fantastic initiative from the State Government that can help remove some of the potential costing barriers that can be prohibitive to participation.''
"We encourage all eligible families to access their voucher and then make contact with their club to find out more information about when and how to register. It is important that the voucher is acquired prior to the registration process." Families can find a list of our clubs on this website and can also access information at playfootball.com.au.
