Valley Road is set to be transformed into a sea of pink this weekend, as the the Devonport Strikers play host the inaugural McGrath Foundation Pink Game, to help raise funds for breast cancer awareness.
The Strikers will be taking on South Hobart in a rematch of the Lakoseljac Cup Final in a massive encounter that will go a long way towards determining the 2019 NPL TAS title.
The Strikers are encouraging everyone who comes along to the game to wear some pink coloured clothing or accessories, to help create a sea of pink around the ground to show support for the cause.
The teams will be wearing special strips for the occasion, and even the referees flags and whistle will be coloured pink.
All money raised from the day will go towards The McGrath foundation with collection tins to be present around the ground. The McGrath Foundation funds Breast Care Nurses who support individuals and their families experiencing breast cancer. The nurses provide physical, psychological and emotional support from the time of diagnosis, throughout treatment.
In addition $10 from every ticket sold to the function that will be staged later in the evening, Dress To Impress, will also be donated. Tickets can be purchased from the Devonport Strikers website. For more information head to the Event Page on Facebook.
If you are unable to attend the game but would still like to donate, then you can do so via the following link.
