Football Tasmania is providing Tasmania's youth footballers and referees a once in a lifetime opportunity to represent the State at the FIFA Women's World Cup 2023!
For each of the six games at AAMI Park in Melbourne in July and August, we have availability for six flag bearers to represent Tasmania.
The flag bearers will walk onto the pitch prior to kick off, carrying a FIFA flag. They will need to be available five hours prior to kick off, including a rehearsal. A meal will be offered during this time.
The representatives will be chaperoned by Football Tasmania staff/volunteers who have current WWVP cards.
The successful representatives will need to meet the following criteria:
- Aged 12 to 17 on the date of the game attending
- Have an active 2023 player registration
- Are able to get themselves and a parent/guardian to Melbourne for the game, at least 5 hours prior to kick off. Full list of games and times in form below.
- While participating in this activity, participants must have permission for their image to be used for media, social media and promotional activities by Football Tasmania, Football Australia and FIFA.
Please note, all travel, accommodation bookings and costs will need to be incurred by the representative’s family/guardian, and participants will need to be accompanied to and from the match (to be met by the chaperones at the gate).
All selected flag bearers will be given a ticket for themselves and a parent/guardian for the match. If further family members require tickets, these will need to be purchased separately and being seated together will not be guaranteed.
If your child would like to be eligible for this opportunity, please complete the form below by 13 June. We will be announcing randomly selected winners on 15 June.
