2019: Round 17: Olympia 0-2 Ulverstone
Match Primer
The trip to the North West coast has already left its mark on the title race, with the Reds snatching 2 points off Clarence Zebras back in round 4. Now the question begs whether Ulverstone can return to form and throw a spanner in the works for Olympia’s season. The table toppers have a narrow buffer to play with, so the Warriors won’t want to drop any points. Only one match so far this season has seen a side deny the Warriors from scoring, which would be an unsettling sight for Ulverstone whose stingy defensive endeavours have unraveled over the past two rounds. On the other end of the field, Ulverstone’s creative attack will need to find their eye for goal, with direct play one of the few ways to crack the best defence in the competition. Olympia’s defence will be asking questions of themselves after conceding two last time out, while it didn’t change the result, a repeat against a more experienced side in Ulverstone might not be so kind.South Hobart v University

2020: Round 3: University 1-4 South Hobart
2018: Round 21: South Hobart 1-0 University
2018: Round 14: South Hobart 5-1 University
Match Primer
South Hobart will be wanting to repeat their last outing at Darcy Street, with a third place position firmly on the table with a victory here. On the flip side, University has struggled to lift themselves off the bottom of the table still sitting with the sole point. A win for University would be both a statement and restore some pride, whilst so long as South Hobart keep their feet on the ground in approaching this game, a routine win should be on the cards. The first half will more than set the tempo. South Hobart have shown they can press high and with intensity, while producing the reward from that tactic with goals. However the reliance of youth have seen them wane at times as the match deepens. While keeping the ledger even early on for University would be more than a confidence booster but an opportunity. For the Bees to have a chance they will need to avoid giving away easy goals early, while using their pace to hit South on the counter as they press up.

2020: Round 3: Clarence Zebras 5-1 Kingborough Lions
Match Primer
The Clarence Zebras quest to continue the battle for the WSLs top spot brings them to Lightwood Park against a Kingborough team who themselves have eyes on storming up the ladder. Confidence will be flowing for the Lions after a come-from-behind victory over Ulverstone last weekend, while the Zebras will have no complaints on their current form following back to back wins by a margin. Kingborough have finally unlocked the ‘scoring-goals’ level, finding a way to connect their midfield with attack. While over ten goals for Clarence Zebras in the last two matches shows they aren’t shy in front of goal either. Experience in defence and how to control a match could be the match winners to tip the result in the favour of Clarence. While the Lions are capable of nipping at the heels of Clarence Zebras, the 2nd place team knows how to see out a match if they get their nose ahead.
