WSL Round 11 Team of the Week

GK-Amelia Vanderniet (Clarence) Was shelled for a large portion of the game against the Warriors but kept the scoring down with a top drawer performance. Even two of the goals she did concede saw her pulling off stunning saves initially. RCB- Sophie Leszczynski (Olympia) Clarence didn't get a shot away in this match and a portion of that was Leszczynski shutting down anything that came her way. In complete control at the back . CB- Kayla Mason (Hobart Zebras) Did a great job on the lethal Jazmin White as they renewed what is becoming one of the best individual duels in the league. Mason's pace and alertness was vital in preserving the clean sheet. LCB- Darci Quin (Olympia) Charged down the left flank with aplomb all match and bagged a fine goal as she burnt off the Clarence defence before finishing clinically. DM- Taylor Rand (Hobart Zebras) Broke up the play well and really disrupted the flow of the Ulverstone midfield play with her astute positioning and defensive nous. CM- Zoe Horgan (Kingborough) Another sparkling performance from a player who must be a major contender for the Optus Medal at seasons end. Goals, assists, crunching tackles, Horgan does it all and she ran riot against South. CM- Inocent Michael (Olympia) Scarcely needed to get out of third gear as she dictated the game and looked a figure in complete control of the middle of the park, scoring a goal with an emphatic hit later on in the game. AM- Allie Berry (Hobart Zebras) A goal and an assist to help power her side to what may well prove a crucial road win as she offered plenty of her customary drive and attacking threat. LW- Emille Tatton (Kingborough) The Lions winger was a joy to watch as her dribbling skills bamboozled the defence and saw her chiming in with a pair of goals. RW- Mia Cane (Kingborough) Scored a delightfully chipped goal and was a constant danger for the South defence with her pace a constant outlet that got in behind the lines. ST- Pichon Choi (South Hobart) Toiled hard in attack for her side despite the game drifting away from them and managed to pull one back with a well taken finish.
