WSL: Round 6 Team of the Week

GK- Amelia Vanderniet (Clarence) The competitions premiere glove-woman continues to demonstrate why and her heroics in net were a major reason for her sides upset win over the Lions. RB- Meghan Gaffney (Ulverstone) Continues to play with a defensive maturity beyond her years, the Ulverstone youngster made a series of crucial defensive challenges to stop threatening attacks. CB- Zara Dixon (Clarence) A rock solid defensive performance from the ever reliable Dixon. Made a number of big sliding challenges and was strong in her defensive duels. LB- Erin Delaney (Hobart Zebras) Defender her flank particularly well under some real pressure from the talented Warriors attack and then bombed on to setup the equaliser. CM- Danielle Mitchell (Ulverstone) In Georgia Foote's abscence, up stepped Mitchell to shoulder the load and that she did, producing a starring midfield performance in which she controlled the game from the middle and scored a cracking goal. CM- Jade Williams (Olympia) Just one of those players who seems to have all time in the world on the ball, she combined well with her teammates and was the heartbeat of the side in midfield. CM- Bronte Gadon (South Hobart) Was absolutely everywhere in the middle for South, Gadon covered every blade of grass as she worked both ways and produced a well rounded display. RW- Emily Grzinic (Clarence) Has been a break out player of the 2019 season and her well taken brace fired the Reds to victory. Skilful, quick and showing good goal scoring instincts, she is exactly the player that the Reds have been in need of. AM- Zoe Horgan (Kingborough) Tried her utmost to get her side over the line, Horgan was tireless in midfield, driving the play and she setup some quality chances for her side, that ultimately weren't finished. LW- Madison Chambers (Olympia) Continues to be completely unplayable, was involved in all the Warriors best attacking moves and was involved in both goals, could have had multiple goals if not for Shelley Cook in the Zebras net. CF- Olivia Bomford (Olympia) Dropped back deep to pick up the ball and created chance after chance for the Warriors, her link up play with Chambers and Williams flowed superbly.
