GK- Georgia Mcmullen (South Hobart)
It wouldn't have been 0-0 at half time if not for Mcmullen who enabled her side to hang in a contest they were being outplayed in. Whilst eventually yielding, it was still a strong debut performance.
RB- Rafaella Puli (Olympia)
Reliable in defence and broke things open with a thunderous opening goal, making a clever run in behind and finishing like a striker!
CB- Kayla Mason (Hobart Zebras)
Made a bunch of last ditch saving challenges that denied the Warriors almost certain goals, as multiple times she showed off her great recovery speed.
CB- Hanna Manuela (Kinborough)
The Lions have found themselves a leader at the back in Manuela, whose experience and leadership in organising things back there were a major reason for their clean sheet.
LB- Niki Moutsatsos (South Hobart)
Did all she could to keep her side in the game including twice covering her defenders to execute crucial goal saving blocks.
CM- Jade Williams (Olympia)
Started at left back and assisted the opening goal before moving into midfield in the second half where she played a number of quality balls in behind.
CM- Zoe Horgan (Kingborough)
Bossed the midfield and put in a commanding performance for the Lions, Horgan was everywhere, allowing them to control the game.
RW- Bonnie Davies (Olympia)
The game breaker late on, Davies strike on her non preferred foot to level the score was exquisite, whilst her driving run down the right set up Mamic for the late winner.
LW- Samantha Watkins (Kingborough)
Having threatened throughout, Watkins then scored a wonderful goal as she tore past the defence and smashed home the second goal of the game.
AM- Zoe Nichols (Hobart Zebras)
Scored a stunning solo goal, cutting right through the heart of the Warriors defence and looked a threat running at the defence all game.
ST- Laura Davis (Kingborough)
Two goals from the opening game for one of the Golden Boot favourites, as Davis picked right up where she left off in the WSL last season.
