ALDI MiniRoos Coaching Certificate

ALDI MiniRoos Coaching Certificate Please note the Skill Training Certificate at Pembroke Park has been moved from Saturday 8 April to Sunday 9 April. The MiniRoos Coaching Course is the ideal introduction to coaching ALDI MiniRoos. This is a FREE course for coaches training 5-9 year old players.  The three-hour course is practical and encourages the coaches to develop practices based on FUN. The emphasis is on natural development i.e. learning by PLAYING football. Less coaching, but more organising FUN football exercises is the key to helping players build a love for the game. Another highlight of the course is that the coaches are exposed to basic rules of the game as well as tips on how to build a football culture in an entirely practical setting. So whether you are new to the game or have played previously, the ALDI MiniRoos Coaching Course is great place to start. Upcoming Courses:

There will also be a Skill Training demonstration following the MiniRoos courses at Margate and Lenah Valley, running from 12.30pm-4pm.  This demonstration will provide a great introduction for novice coaches to the model sessions for the four core skills covered in the Skill Training Certificate, but is not as in-depth and does not include any formal qualification for coaches. It is highly recommended to those coaches working with players aged 9-13 who are unable to undertake the full Skill Training Certificate. Skill Training Certificate The course is designed for coaches training players in the 9-13 year old age group. In the Skill Acquisition Phase the coach MUST focus on building a solid foundation of Technical Skill. The course is conducted over 14 hours, is fully practical and deals with the development of the 4 Functional Game Skills:
  • First Touch
  • Striking the Ball
  • Running with the Ball
  • 1 v 1
These four core skills make up 95% of the actions of any outfield player during a game of football which is why it is critical to train these actions repeatedly so that the players develop their ability to perform them more effectively during a game. This is a practical course with learning done on the field. Register for Skill Training Certificate
