Football Tasmania is providing Tasmania's youth footballers and referees a once in a lifetime opportunity to represent the State at the FIFA Women's World Cup 2023!For each of the six games at AAMI Park in Melbourne in July and August, we have availability for six flag bearers to represent Tasmania.
The flag bearers will walk onto the pitch prior to kick off, carrying a FIFA flag. They will need to be available five hours prior to kick off, including a rehearsal. A meal will be offered during this time.

The Devonport Strikers have created history, becoming the first side to win three consecutive Lakoseljac Cups, as they defeated South Hobart 1-0 in a tight, tense decider on Saturday evening at KGV. Football Tasmania Board chairman Bob Gordon has thanked Football Tasmania Chief Executive Officer Matt Bulkeley for his service, after Mr Bulkeley announced his resignation today after five years at the helm of the sport’s governing body.

A month out from theFIFA Women’s World Cup Australia & New Zealand 2023™, Football Tasmania has announced three regional gala days for girls in primary school who want to come and try football during the school holidays.
The gala days will be held in Hobart on Wednesday, 19 July at Wentworth Park; Launceston on Thursday 20 July at Birch Avenue, and in Devonport on Friday 21 July at Meercroft Park.
Two 2-hour sessions will be held each day; from 10am – midday for 6-9 year olds, and 1pm-3pm for 10-12 year olds, consisting of ten-minute, four-aside games.

Taroona FC club stalwart Daisy Parsell will celebrate her 200th senior game when the club’s WSL side hosts Launceston United tomorrow (Saturday, 24 June).
Parsell will become the first female to do so at Taroona.
Since 2010, she has played more than 380 games for the club in all competitions, including youth, and scored 111 goals.
Parsell said she felt proud and honoured to have reached the milestone.
