The merger of Clarence United and the Hobart Zebras into a new club, Clarence Zebras, has been ticked off by the members of the two clubs at Extraordinary General Meetings last night.
The result of the vote means the way has now been paved for the merger to go ahead and the new club to be formed.

The Launceston Junior Soccer Tournament continues to grow from strength to strength with around 80 teams totaling about 1200 players aged from under-nine to under-16 taking part in the tournament which ran from Friday to Sunday.
Now enterting it's 29th year, the tournament was supported strongly by the clubs in the region, and also drew in sides from around the state and six interstate sides. Football Federation Australia (FFA) has today sanctioned a Tasmanian registered player for betting on a number of football matches, in breach of the FFA National Code of Conduct.
The breaches included betting on matches involving his own team, as well as matches in other leagues including the National Premier League Tasmania and Victoria.
