The Glenorchy Knights have continued their strong form late in the NPL season, beating South Hobart 2-1 at Darcy Street. Goals to Alex Leszczynski and Nicholas Naden saw the Knights claim a come-from-behind win after Samuel Berezansky had fired the home side into an early lead.
South controlled the tempo for much of the game but struggled to break through a well-organised Glenorchy lineup that has now won five of its last six games. That run has seen the Knights move into fifth place on the ladder, while South Hobart battled manfully with a young and under-strength lineup but failed to make…

With eight of the nine positions on the table locked in placer as we head into the final day, the main attraction of the afternoon will be the Mathew Sanders v Miles Barnard Golden Boot battle.
Sanders, who takes on Riverside holds the advantage heading into the day, with 29 goals to the Fox in the Box's 28. His Zebras side will be favourites to score goals against a Riverside defence that has leaked goals on their trips south previously, although their form has certainly improved as the year has worn on, and they will give the Zebras a good test in what will be Sanders final game for the…
1It wasn't always pretty, but the Kingborough Lions have ended their season on a high with an entertaining 3-2 win over the Glenorchy Knights at Lightwood Park.
In wet and icy conditions more befitting of the middle of winter than early spring, the Lions took the lead inside 20 minutes through Jack Turner and never surrendered it in a gutsy display. Glenorchy fought back bravely and twice managed to draw to within a goal, but they couldn't land a killer blow in the crucial moments.
The rain held off for kickoff, but both teams still struggled to find their rhythm early. The Lions had the…

The game kicked off with the Zebras holding early possession, however it wasn’t long before the visitors found their way into the contest. Just three minutes in and Nil Sanz won the ball well in an attacking area, Sanz then found Mccarrager, however he hit just wide of the goal.

Having taken on a Tasmanian representative side on Sunday, the Central Coast Mariners will now face off with South Hobart at Lightwood Park tonight. The Mariners won that game 3-1, but were given a good hit out by the Tasmanian side and now look to flex their muscle against the Lakoseljac Cup Champions.

For the South players…
For the second time in three days, the Central Coast Mariners were challenged at times but proved far too strong as they beat South Hobart 4-1 at Lightwood Park.
In a first half where South struggled to gain any sort of possession, the Mariners could still only manage one goal through a Matt Simon penalty. The game opened up after the half-time break, and while Simon bagged a hat-trick and Tommy Oar added a fourth the hosts looked dangerous throughout and were rewarded with a goal to Bradley Lakoseljac.
Right from the opening kickoff, there were ominous signs for South Hobart of what was to…
