Launceston City FC have announced the appointment of Roger Hardwicke as their new head coach of their NPL TAS side for season 2020.
Hardwicke will replace Lino Sciulli who retired from the caper at the conclusion of the 2019 season and will be tasked with trying to lift the side back up the table after a 7th placed finish.

The Olympia Warriors have made a major off season move, announcing Andrew Brown as their senior NPL TAS coach for 2020, and in a major boon for the Warriors he won't be the only member of the family jumping aboard.

Tasmanian Football's newest club has officially been launched, with the freshly amalgamated Clarence Zebras today unveiling their official Club Logo and playing strips at their Wentworth Park home base.

The Devonport Strikers have announced Suraj Pillai as their new coach for the 2020 season.
Pillai will have big boots to fill as he steps in to replace the highly succesful, Rick Coghlan, who steered the side to their third title in four seasons in 2019.

There are new upcoming Level 4 Introductory refereeing course being run in Launceston and the North West Coast in early 2020. Refereeing is the perfect way to earn some money whilst staying fit and keeping involved in our great game. This course will get you trained up to do just that, qualifying you up to officiate in games for the upcoming season.
The courses will be held over three sessions, or two extended sessions for the Devonport course. Attendance is required at each of these to gain the qualification.

Implementing the recommendations of the Competition Review into Football in Tasmania lies at the core of the season 2020 senior fixtures released today by Football Tasmania.
A major focus on Club Match Days will see the bulk of the NPL TAS season played in the traditional Saturday afternoon time slots, with the addition of the NPL reserve sides into the Veto Southern Championship allowing for triple headers to be staged by clubs every week. NPL Kick off times will be staggered throughout the afternoon so that multiple games are not kicking off at the same time in the same region.
Football Tasmania is very conscious that current natural and climatic events have caused a deterioration in the air quality across the State. Such conditions have resulted in conditions that may be uncomfortable, performance-limiting or even hazardous to participants in sport.

The Men's Division A competition, is set to kick off on Friday 31 January with a clash between Glenorchy Knights and the Olympia Warriors at KGV. In exciting news, this fixture will be refereed by former English Premier League referee, Bobby Madley, who will be in the State for the 2020 Statewide Refereeing conference that will be staged the next day.
The first Statewide Cup draw of the season has been staged, with the two fixtures to be played in the Qualifying Round of the Lakoseljac Cup drawn out today at KGV, Football House.
With 18 teams entered into the competition, two games were necessary to cut the field down ahead of the Round of 16. The following games have been drawn, with the home side named first.

There are two Skill Training Certificate courses coming up in March and April that will be staged at Churchill Park in Launceston. This course will develop your ability to coach in the “Skill acquisition phase” and is for coaches training 9-13 year old players.
These courses will be free of charge thanks to NTJSA who will be funding all participants who attend.
The courses will conducted over 2 sessions, each running from 9:00am to 3:00pm and is fully practical, dealing with the development of the 4 Functional Game Skills: First Touch, Striking the Ball, Running with the Ball and 1 v 1.
