The Glenorchy Knights are the 2020 Lakoseljac Cup champions after an enthralling 2-1 win over the Olympia Warriors at KGV Football Park.
In an end-to-end contest befitting of a cup final it was Thomas Young that stepped up with the winning goal and the Player of the Final award. His 74th minute strike broke a deadlock set up by two first-half goals, with an Adam Gorrie stunner cancelled out by an Alex Bellini free kick before the break. Both sides had chances to claim a decisive lead, but Young's goal combined with some resolute late defending saw the Knights take home the silverware.
The Clarence Zebras have turned the tables on the Olympia Warriors, producing a dominant performance to secure the 2020 Women's Statewide Cup with a 3-0 victory.
Danielle Kannegiesser fired her side into the lead in the opening moments and from there her side didn't look back, controlling the game from start to finish to claim the silverware.
In just the second minute the Clarence Zebras had the lead as Nichols pounced on a heavy touch from Roberts, slid it through to Kannegiesser who took a touch before picking out the bottom corner.
It changed the dynamic of the match as the Warriors…

They took the lead in just the second minute as Lufti Baddiley was on hand for a close range finish after a set piece had been headed back into the middle of the box.
On 17 minutes that lead was doubled as Koby Moschogiannis was afforded too much room in the box allowing him to nod home the cross from…
